Letters

Reading the review of James Keelaghan's latest CD, I was happy to see mention of the song Wood Smoke and Oranges. Ever since hearing it on a CD given to me by Ian Tamblyn, I have loved that song enormously. It would be nice if it mentioned that Ian wrote that song in the review. If you have not heard his version, you ought to! Available from NorthTrack records in Ottawa. Ian Tamblyn is one of Canada's greatest songwriter, and acoustic guitarist. His guitar playing on his version of Wood Smoke is riveting. Blows away many so called hot pickers through the sheer emotional intensity of his playing. A beautiful singer too. An artist to discover. - Daniel Heikalo, Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
