RootsWorld's Free Reed Radio will feature new and unusual music from around the world, from the fanatic fringe to the folk-roots. the show will be updated every week suring the festival.
June 29 - July 10 on Celtic Quest
Celtic Quest will be broadcasting an interview with the giant of the Basque trikitixa, Kepa Junkera.
June 11-17: Herb Levy's Mappings program will feature the music of composer Pauline Oliveros, in a program that will run from the 11th to the 17th of June, and then will be in the program archive for the following week.
The Global Jukebox is a weekly program hosted by Paul Sherratt, and is available both in Real Audio and on Radio Caroline via satellite Astra 1G to the whole of Europe on Wednesdays at 22.00 UK. The special online programs for the Free Reed Festival will be available from June 23-30.
The Guest List is an online program hosted by Alan O'Leary. The week of June 14th Alan's guest will be noted folk journalist Colin Irwin, and they will include music by Garth Hudson, Joe Burke, Dermot Byrne, Albion Country Band, Tarif de Haidouks and Con O'Drisceoil. The week of June 21st Alan is planning a special Free Reed edition of the program. More details to come.
